I wanted a force representing House Baranor. House Baranor are a group of nations all pledging fealty to the Baranor family, currently headed by Queen Elena Baranor. The force needed to look noble, and uniform, apart from that before starting I didn’t know which direction it would take.
I started with the basic Poundland figures.
I then tidy the figures up and consider the organisation of the force.
I then super glue the figures to washers, 25mm washers to the normal figures, and 30mm washers for the heavy weapon figures.
I prime the figures and paint them simply. Basecoat, wash, reapply the base coat and then one or two highlights. In this instance I painted the helmets black and added a gloss varnish.
I finish up by basing the figures simply, sand and a black wash, followed by a drybrush, brown wash and I glue on static grass.
