One of the factions currently fighting in the First System War (SW1) are the SolRads (short for Solar Raiders). The SolRads are known for their brutality and relatively out dated, but still effective weaponry.
The SolRads come from the old system or the Solar System as it was known. A system of planets orbiting the star Sol. The Solar System descended into a seemingly unending war roughly a thousand years ago which led to the Jendari Pilgrims leaving their home on Earth and seeking out a new home among the stars until they finally settled on a planet within the Vos system calling it Jendar. Now it seems more pilgrims are arriving from the Solar System but their intentions seem to be only to cause destruction, possibly because they don’t know any better after weathering war for 1000 years.
Due to their tribal nature the SolRads are often dressed in mismatched uniforms, greys, greens and browns are prevalent with occasional camouflage. Their helmets being uniformly coloured to determine their tribe, or sometimes matching face paint. Notable tribes of the SolRads include ‘The Blues’, ‘The Reds’, ‘The Smilers’, ‘The Ghosts’ and ‘The Butchers’.
The SolRads will ally with any forces willing to pay them the right amount, apart from any Alien forces which due to limited Alien contact the SolRads are highly suspicious of and often hostile towards even without provocation.
