A regular dino you’ll find in bags of cheap dinosaurs is Pachycephalosaurus. You know the one with the bony head that likes ramming into things. Unfortunately the real dinosaur bears little resemblance to the two I have… one of which is below:

My first step was to swap heads with another toy. I forgot to get a pic of the second toy before I decapitated it, but needless to say the head was better but the body worse, hence Frankenstein’s experiment below:

I closed up the gap on the neck with superglue and bicarbonate of soda.

I had to get some close ups of the original head… a clown lipped, broccoli looking monstrosity if ever there was one.

I added some cocktail stick spikes coming out the back of the head to better match up to some pictures I had seen online, I’m not entirely sure if they’re historically accurate, but they look cool.

Finally some pics of the finished model next to a couple of new acquisitions – Monoclonius and Tapejara (on a flight stand so out of the picture).

I’m very happy with the final result, it looks far better than I expected. Below is a snap of Tapejara my first flying dinosaur to take to the tabletop!
