While stalking the dark alleys of Amazon I noticed a discrepancy:

The figures outside the bag are different from those within the bag. The ones outside are decent, but I do have a lot of them already. The ones in the bag really piqued my interest because I spotted a figure closer to the original of one of my favourite Chinese copies, this guy:

The figures arrived today, and thankfully they were the ones in the bag:

40 figures in 7 different poses, with some nasty looking flash but that was actually very easily removed.

They’re also a decent thickness, not really a ‘flat’ at all.

Size wise they’re big, but not huge, a really satisfying size for detail and painting which I’m actually really excited to get going on on these figures.
A Chaos Marine for a more standard size comparison:

So, pose wise, we get a beret wearing officer and radio operator.

A guy carrying a mortar or missile launcher, and a guy armed with an assault rifle.

An engineer with a spade and a a very non-descript ‘tool’ a drill, hammer or possibly a pistol. A cap wearing machine gunner and a female medic (WW2 Russian copy?).

I was so impressed with these figures I picked up two more bags immediately. You can get them here:
I love the female medic. I was trying to figure out if she held a pistol (usually a no-no for medics) or if it is a bandage.
I have painted these in their 54mm manifestation. I like the pilot-type helmets on some of them – they look like SF.
It very much looks like a pistol
I feel like its a stretch to say that these figs remind me of EC War comics like “Corpse on the Imjin,” but cartoons are abstractions of the real, and so are toys generally. These are really terrific though. How serious do you think they’ll be on the other side of your paint table?
As serious as the Deathzap setting, lol which is something I’m still figuring out.
