The Selenoids

From the former Allegiance of Gnossos Science General Von Dan Ericken, translated from Proto-Gnossian religious or mythological texts:

Alas we have been cursed with the great undoing. Our strands are becoming untwisted. Our children are our ancestors.

The great undiscovery of the star demons was our end. They hunted us from the plains of Guri to the rim of Abeth-Shur. They are the children of the end.

The great grey eye mocks our downfall. The dark planet laughs as our end becomes our beginning.

My observations of mining efforts on the planet Kannis, the actions of the legendary Darros Mortan and his Men and the so called ‘paranormal activity’ experienced by many including even our own Master Core, has lead me to the conclusion that the planet Kannis itself is an embryo. Based on the research of biologist Hassan Dyfear I believe the dinosaurs of Jendar are the Proto-Gnossians, the highly advanced alien race that lived millions of years before humans arrived, and who built the planet Gnossos itself, after being through a forced de-evolution as indicated by their mythology.

Piercing together the fragmentary texts I believe indicate the Selenoids were released when the Proto-Gnossians attempted mining on Kannis. In the same way that any body reacts when attacked. However being part of the immune system of a being far beyond our current understanding instead of just being cells, biological matter, they were sentient and intelligent. The occurrence of paranormal activity now on Kannis and the Selenoids’ ability to teleport, leads me to believe the Selenoids were initially beings of pure energy, an energy which is yet undiscovered by man. This is why despite their advanced technology the Proto-Gnossians were unable to fight the Selenoids effectively and lost the war. Then as punishment for their great sin, and in order to protect Kannis, the Proto-Gnossians were devolved. I believe this partly due to the spreading rumours of ape-like children being birthed on Kannis and the research that suggests that all the dinosaurs of Jendar have the necessary DNA to be bipedal humanoids with enlarged brains but that it remains in permanently recessive genes.

After the war had ended the Selenoids began to fade away, their energy depleted. They were only meant to be a temporary species, in the same way that white blood cells die once they have served their purpose. However due to their apparent intelligence, instead of accepting that fate some went on the hunt for a solution and splitting up teleported across space to distant worlds. A sentient species of mould native to the planet Gnojen became that solution. The Selenoids and the mould formed a symbiotic relationship, the mould gave the Selenoids the physical bodies they required so as not to fade, the Selenoids gave the mould their knowledge of the universe and ability to traverse the stars.

The long term goal of the Selenoid species is like any other, to survive. Among Selenoids though I’ve observed two basic and opposed ideologies – The first is to protect the planet Kannis, birth whatever is dormant within it in order to fulfil their ultimate purpose. The second is to keep the planet dormant, because whatever is within Kannis is as likely to destroy the Selenoids as it is to destroy humanity. What is clear regardless of ideology however, is that humans remain a continued threat to Selenoid existence.
