While the Jendari Defence Army utilised fairly standard infantry platoons and supporting armour in the Selenoid Wars, the ALL took a different route.

Heavy infantry armour had been in use for centuries in Swordsport, one of the more popular Warsports played between the League of Zandor and Legion of Kharthion. While fighting in the Oltra Campaign this kind of armour saw limited use, with Swordsport teams occasionally using the conflict for out of season practice.
It was noted during the Oltra Campaign that when Swordsport platoons had crossed paths with Selenoids they had found their armour particularly effective in providing additional protection against Selenoid weaponry and that their energy blades had also been effective in damaging the aliens. It was for these reasons that Swordsport weaponry and armour was utilised by the ALL during the Selenoid Wars.

Similar to the JDA, formerly diverse colour schemes became homogeneous, and a few common uniforms emerged. Burgundy or red was particularly common among the ALL during this time. Also, in addition to the melee weaponry carried for traditional Swordsport, soldiers carried a selection of pistols and destroyers to engage Selenoids at range, and also to help out in still not uncommon human on human combat.

Wartomata also played a key role in fighting the Selenoids, and each platoon was backed up by 1-3. Beam Swords and Meteors were the weapons of choice for Wartomata due to their anti-armour abilities. Frag-Mauls saw limited use as they did little to harm Selenoids.

Weirdly great! What an interesting way to use knights!
Love the idea. There has to be room for this in Sci Fi, indeed it should encourage it 🙂
These look fantastic! I remember seeing them on Instagram; I’m using those larger knight figures to create some wacky dwarf tomb automata for use in RPGs. I’d love to get my hands on some of those smaller knights, especially the one with his hands resting on his sword pommel; could you please share the product/producer name/s? Thanks! And I LOVE the burgundy; it’s quickly becoming one of my favourite colours.
They’re cheap copies of Caesar Miniatures European Knights 15th Century, I get them from Amazon, if you do a search for toy knights and do a bit of scrolling they usually show up.
