Kitbish-Bash-Bosh

We’re unbelievably spoiled these days for kitbashing. With all the offerings from Northstar along with Wargames Atlantic, the world is your kitbashing oyster.

My forays of late into my earlier versions of The Simple Toy Soldier Game, lead me towards mass battle fantasy (which I’m very much still working on), but then also towards cyberpunk… horror… fantasy. You see a while back I had this setting I called ‘Dead Wars’ set roughly in the early 1900s, and it concerned a war fought between Dracula, Imhotep and Davy Jones, for the control of the Earth. I considered who might win that war and settled on Dracula, but then went on to consider, what the future of that setting would be? Some dystopian nightmare world of gothic cyberpunk with vampires running rampant down rainy alleyways as humans attempt to survive, as do other horror races… werewolves, zombies… Frankensteinian meat constructs.

Anywho… my weekends hyperfocus aside, I decided I needed minis to make this a gaming reality, so I turned to my bits box…

Bjorn, a Lycan, is a combination of Stargrave Mercenary and Frostgrave Barbarian parts.
Murdoch is a Frostgrave Cultist torso and legs, with a Stargrave Crew arm, a Wargames Atlantic Zombie arm and a Wargames Atlantic Bulldog head.
Lilith here is pretty much all Frostgrave Female Wizard, but with one Stargrave Crew arm.
These three ladies are pretty much all female Wizards with various Stargrave arms.
I’ve also had a box of Deadman’s Hand Women, and the guy on the right has Frostgrave Demon arms. The lady’s head in the middle is even 40k.
A similarly built Female Wizard with Stargrave arms, alongside a Stargrave Crew with Frostgrave Barbarian arms and head, alongside another Stargrave Crew with Frostgrave Demon arms and head.
Here’s and odd one, all Wargames Atlantic here, a Satyr, with a Knight’s helmet and Grognard gun instead of an arm.
A Wargames Atlantic Satyr with Konflikt 47 arms.
Stargrave Automaton with Frostgrave Cultists head, and Wargames Atlantic skull.
Stargrave Scavenger, with Frostgrave Cultist arms and a Stargrave Automaton head.

I really can’t recommend all those mentioned kits enough, it’s a great time to let your imagination run wild!
