“Queen Ora Baranor and Minister Adrak Thrace, Sir” announced Coldan’s assistant. The Prime stood up from his desk and wandered over to greet his arriving guests. He attempted to exude confidence and power, his blue and white cloak covered large padded shoulders, he wasn’t a small man but they made him seem twice as big. The Minister entered first, he looked like a rat draped in human skin. He fidgeted and sniffed the air, turning his nose up and exposing yellow fangs. Then a beautiful, young woman entered. He hadn’t seen her since she was a child. The Prime ignored the Minister and bowed. “Highness.”
“Thank you Prime” she answered.
“I have also invited Hegemony leader Adan Cell” Coldan announced.
Minister Adrak visibly winced.
The Prime hid is smile.
“I apologise for my Minister” Queen Ora explained, “He is a member of the Sanctified Temple, Synths are an affront to his beliefs.”
The rat nodded.
“I’m sorry for not telling you sooner, but without the Hegemony’s help this would be a very one sided campaign. What we have in man power we lack in technology. The Hegemony have weapons that can rival even those of the Gnossos.”
It was at that moment that the third guest arrived. Coldan watched Adrak grit his teeth as a tall, blue-skinned man entered. He had a generic face and wore a simple white robe.
“Excellent” Prime Coldan boomed, “Now that we are all here, we can plan our next move!”

Hegemony of Synthos. Planet – Kannis. Moon – Oltra. Nation – Vorran. City – En Sikkar. District – Korza. PL – Ko Harath. Incident – KOVEK A1-505. 03/08/2005 0900.
The assault began in the early hours. The enemies tactics left much to be desired. Is this the best the League had to offer? I fail to see how we lost the war for Ashnyr. I ordered First and second squad to hold the right, while third and fourth took the left. The centre was simply an open road, no cover, and if the Legion did attempt to advance up it we would have both of their flanks.

The League’s Men attempted a push on the left through a large building but fourth held them back with repeater fire.

Synths are incapable of truly experiencing emotions, but I can say their screams were sweet.

The right fared little better for them. We held them back there too.

We finished them with a single destroyer shot. The shell passed through the window and struck one of their golden helmets. The building erupted in flame and the resolve of the remaining squads broke.

My only regret is that we hadn’t killed more of them.

Private Josef Steiner. Legion of Kharthion. No. 332143246.
I stood still in disbelief as the detectives checked me for other weapons. Silas held my repeater while grinning from ear to ear. Unannounced he fired a few rounds from it into a nearby wall. Everybody flinched. “Holds steadier than mine” he muttered, before discarding his own into the thick mud. He checked the mag and then slung my repeater over his shoulder.
Detective Hook noticed something in my chest pocket, a crumpled up letter. He took it out, put it in my hands and checked the pocket again. “Clear” he announced. I did my best in handcuffs to open the letter as they lead me over to their truck. The text was too small to read. Detective Slake took it from my hands, “Let me do that” he offered. He scanned the first few lines. His eyes widened and he moved to hand it to Hook. “What is it?” I begged.
That’s when they detonated the bomb.

So there it is, the final game in my Oltra Campaign!

And the whole thing really did come down to a single destroyer shot through a window, that rolled particularly well and wiped out an entire League of Zandor squad. Although the whole thing is technically a draw I’m wondering where this takes us next…
The war on Oltra will eventually have to continue although for now there is an uneasy peace.
Does this result provide the Jendari Collective with the resources they needed, or will Prime Coldan Thrane be forced to betray Queen Ora Baranor as well? What if Queen Ora discovers Prime Coldan had her mother assassinated?
What if I played out the Camerian Civil War to its conclusion causing the victorious Camerians to pick a side, Baranor or Collective, ending the stalemate between the two and causing a world war on Jendar?
Why are the Allegiance of Gnossos, Legion of Kharthion and League of Zandor also all invested in Oltra, what are their internal struggles, does this result change their alliance in any way?
There’s no doubt much more to come in the future!
Great game report- loved following along with these.
Cheers,
Pete.
Thanks! It’s been a lot of fun to play out!
Golden helmets never go out of fashion for evil minions 🙂
