Evil Sully

From time to time the wife and I head off to sunny, sticky Florida and engage in a bit of Disney. I like going, I love the attention to detail, the atmosphere, it’s like a huge wargaming terrain project where different worlds are faked into believable existence. Alas however I’m unable to engage in some practical hobby. I do however look for things I can buy to bring back home and do things with. Last time we went, just before lock-down, I picked up some sets of Disney figures I could modify, maybe for gaming purposes, mostly just for fun modelling projects. One such set was of Monsters Inc. characters.

My intent here is to turn Sully into a Daemon Prince, possibly for Age of Sigmar, but more likely just for standing on a shelf and looking unsettling. I started out by filling the various gaps on him with liquid green stuff from Games Workshop and trying out different extra bits on him.

I knew I wanted wings, and the pair I started out with initially were a tad small, so I found another pair from some Crypt Flayers that were a much better fit. I also lopped off the end of his fingers and replaced them with Chainswords and blades from a Soulgrinder’s legs, giving him a rather nasty looking claw. I knew I wanted him to have tusk like teeth, and after I pulled the figure’s teeth out with pliers, I had to rebuild his lower jaw with Milliput. I built out his back also with Milliput and added kebab skewer spikes. The white stuff all over him is No More Nails, slapped on and then stippled with a brush to give a wet, matted fur texture.

I also added static grass in various places to represent the texture of the drier fur.

The painting was mostly stippling and drybrushing, and I finished him off by adding some UHU gore.

Evil Sully and Mike are ready to hit the gaming table. I’ll have to think of a list that includes both of them!
