It’s been holiday time on the Isle of Man, lots of fun has been had spending time with the parents, little hobby progress though as I’m sure you can imagine.
The Isle of Man is a pretty cool place and seeing lots of dioramas involving Vikings has wetted my appetite for some Dark Age skirmishing, I’ll have to have a think about that when I get back home.
I did have grand plans for a Deathzap campaign utilising some miniature-less rules I cooked up before leaving:

The League of Zandor and the Legion of Kharthion were going to face off against each other. The map is generated before the game with dice rolls and then put inside a plastic wallet so you can track troop movements on top with a white board marker. I never got the chance to play as I kept sleeping in, but the map is ready to go.

Just before leaving I put together another warband for Gaol28 – The Darklings:

They’re essentially prisoners or adventurers who have wandered too far in the Gaol, and find themselves trapped in an irrational state. People seemed to be particularly impressed with the Hunters on Instagram:

As always I sampled all model and toy shops on the Island and I’ve come away with a box of Italeri Fallschirmjager and a box of Commandos, I’m not entirely sure why though as I have no particular project in mind.
