I was plundering Amazon for various toys I could deploy in my Crusage game when I stumbled across a bunch of Pirates.
You may have seen these guys already and were wondering how good they are before taking the plunge and spending your hard earned pieces of eight, well me hearties, let me show you!

I initially bought them for the skeletons, plentiful skellies in this scale are hard to come by in this scale and for a low price! I believe some Egyptian themed ones cropped up a while back, but I sadly missed them. There’s 5 poses of skeleton, mostly armed with a mix of melee weapons and one with a musket.

The meaty skeletons are more eclectically armed. I’m particularly a fan of the grappling hook for boarding other ships and the grenade.
Here they all are up close:

I’ll have to try some chopping and reposing to get the most out of this set, and I’ve got 100 figures to play with which I bought for just under £9.
Scale wise they fit in really well with my Knights:

I’m sure the Man of Tin would enjoy using Gerard De Gre’s Lunge Cut and Stop Thrust rules with these.
I had to read that title slide twice, thinking, wait there were pirates in the Amazon? Then I thought oh no this has to be a play on words, pleasantly it was. Looking forward to seeing them painted up!
They sound like my type of cheap plastic pound store warriors .
