Dinos of the Dead

I’ve been away the past few days so haven’t made all that much hobby progress bar putting my order in with Irregular Miniatures for the extra figures I wanted for my Super Simple Skirmish Game, and ordering more bases for those figures from Amazon.

Before leaving however a small package arrived also from Amazon (do remember to support your own local plastic crap shops though!) of Skeletal Dinosaurs, 24 in all, two of each of the 12 species/ poses.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe we’ve got an Edmontosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus and Parasaurolophus.

Allosaurus (maybe, too many fingers), Dilophosaurus and Pterodactyl.

Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus and Dimetrodon (although I’ve taken to using Dimetrodon as Spinosaurus with my other cheapy Dinos).

Some kind of Ceratopsian and a Triceratops, and finally a T-Rex (silly me for kissing this one out when originally taking my pictures):

Unsure of the size on Amazon I had hoped they’d be big enough for mounts, but they’re slightly too small:

They’ll make decent beasts I suppose, although the bad guys already have their Devil Dogs.

Or maybe, they could make good Pony sized cavalry Mongol Style? At the very least I’ve now got a bag of fun conversion parts especially some cool heads!

You can still get this bag of dead Dinos from Amazon for £8.97.

Thoughts?

  1. You could use them or bits of them for temple decoration, either in natural one or in metallic. If the skulls were small enough you could use them as helmets or masks for other figures.
