  1. They are nicely sculpted figures and your paintwork is effective. The scale is between Games Workshop and 54mm. My main scale is 54mm so they are midgets for me. I have painted some in grey camo. I have also seen them converted and painted in red for the V series.

One thing about the speed of painting, I would use a bigger brush for the base colors and, especially applying the wash; it takes a fraction of the time. Then I use smaller brushes for detail.

I might have missed something but will you utilize the numbers under the bases? Higher numbers could represent veterans or whatever.

I really like the idea of ‘inter-period ‘warfare and use it in my fantasy campaigns, with different nations at different periods of technology. I also had a Victorian era army versus a Warhammer style Chaos one. Obviously the shooty army wanted to keep its distance to use its advantage of fire power. However, the Chaos army had an advantage of magic missiles etc.

  2. I have thought about utilising the numbers under the bases, but I didn’t put any thought into who got glued to what initially (though nothing to stop me repainting them). Could be a fun Stratego inspired method of resolving melees though. Could add a D6 or 2D6 roll for randomness. Although I did wonder if flipping a guy over to check his stats is actually more annoying than just having a bit of paper off to the side.

  3. There is that although you could have the bit of paper as well with one system backing up the other.
