A small project this week, mostly because of the heat. While rummaging around the local discount shops I came across a Kandy Toys Astro Rover:

I immediately saw the potential of this thing, and loved that it was the perfect size for my Lanard Corps figures. The plastic even took superglue well, and allowed me to mount a spare machine gun. The hatch on top (which a radar dish pops out of) was perfectly placed for someone to manually take the gun over, but I reckon in its current state it’s fully automated.
A goop coat and a black prime later and I was here:
The goop may not be necessary, but I didn’t want to risk it, and taking the whole thing apart to clean off mould release, or sand did not seem like fun in the UK’s current climate.
A little slap chop later and I was here:
I wasn’t totally happy with this result, so I took a things a step further by picking out a few details, and repainting the windows:
And there you have it. A perfect little APC to transport my guys around, plus provide a little support fire. I’m working away at my rules set made for kids, and I think this will be a great addition to my SCI-CORPS force. Now to scratch my head and figure out how many points a transport vehicle should be…
